Instrument Assignment
Hello Students
Here you can find links to many of the things I have been telling you about such as www.wordle.net as well as my music instrument family webquest Musical Instrument Family Webquest . If you click on either of these links you will be magically transported to where you need to go. Any questions? You can email them to me on the school website or here at my blogspot. Good luck.
Peace,
Mrs. M

Web Quest Assignment
Okay everyone...hopefully you had an easier time creating your webquest than I did. But...I did it! ...I think...you'll let me know what vital pieces are missing I hope. I think that it's complete but I'm not really sure. It was interesting and it's a cool idea and teaching tool but it was extremely time consuming and it was hard to find people who actually knew what one was (old and young) so I couldn't really run it by anyone in person. So....the proof is in the pudding. Let me know what you think.
Thanks! Here's the link:

My Technology Classroom Experience-I miss a live teacher
Hello All
I know that this blog is quite late. One thing that I realize about a virtual class is that you really have to be on top of your game. There are no weekly meetings to remind you of where you should be and it is easy to lose much time struggling to navigate your way through something that would probably be so much easier if you had a real live person to kind of guide you through it. That being said, I think our Professor is great. I just wish that we could have her in person a least a few times throughout the semester. I'm still one of those people that will stay on hold for a very long time waiting to talk to a human being on the telephone before I'll try to solve my problem at somebody's website. There is something about that human contact that gives me a little more security that I am interpreting something correctly or that I am moving in the right direction instead of spending hours working on something only to find that it's all wrong...ugh. Do I sound jaded? I'm not. I'm just being humbly honest about my experience. I have enjoyed learning about the wide wide world of the world wide web. The possibilities are endless and I'm excited to be learning about them and to keep learning about them. I am fully aware that it is impossible to teach students in this day and age without constantly growing in my knowledge of and ability to navigate my way through "the web". It would be like teaching a room full of students who didn't speak the language that you're teaching in....actually I think I have done that.... :) Anyway, it has been a learning experience and I look forward to the opportunity to apply all that I've learned in my own navigation and trial and error and all that I have learned from all of you in your very generous sharing and comments. So thank you.

WebPage Assignment
Hello All
This was definitely challenging for me but I did learn as I went along. I'm still not thrilled with my results but I guess I need a bit more schooling on the ins and outs of building a website. I am intrigued and inspired to look into other webpage building sites that may be a bit more useful. I found the "googlesites" one that I used okay but a little frustrating especially when it came to formatting. I'm sure that much of that is due to my infamiliarity with the process. Anyway my link is https://sites.google.com/site/mrsminettismusic/home
